In Remembrance

All throughout my childhood I remember going to small town art and craft fairs, county fairs, city carnivals, outdoor concerts and basically anything my mother could find that was free or very cheap. These fond memories went into adulthood, from Wisconsin to Florida. I remember having a conversation with my mother not too long ago where I told her about my idea for this blog. We always knew what was going on, where it was going on and how much the events costed so I thought to myself why not blog about these events? My mother has recently passed so finding and going to these events is now a tradition that I do not intend to break. This is a tradition that I look forward to keeping along with the tradition of massive cookie plates given to friends and family around Christmas time. And thus, The Poor Mans Socialite is born. Rest In Peace Mom, we all love and miss you!
